Sherry Wendling

Owner and the executive director of the Academy of Fine Arts. Sherry has a proven track record of instilling discipline and self-confidence in students of all ages. She holds numerous titles, and her credentials and expertise have brought her national recognition. Sherry has traveled across the United States, to Peru and Japan performing, competing and coaching. She has taught twirling, dance and modeling since 1974. Sherry continues to share her knowledge, experience and positive attitude with students, parents and instructors. Sherry was inducted into the Baton Twirling Hall of Fame in 2004.

Suzanne Wendling

Assistant director of the Academy of Fine Arts. Suzanne has competed, performed and taken disciplined dance classes for over 23 years. Suzanne was the University of Missouri Feature Twirler and is a former Mizzou Golden Girl. In 2003 Suzanne won the World Champion Strut title for baton twirling and in 2005 tied for the title of Miss Majorette of America. She has won numerous dance scholarships and national dance titles. She has traveled from California to Florida competing and teaching, was a USA baton twirling delegate to Peru and worked and danced with the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, Florida. Suzanne has a true love for working with students to better their dance technique, self esteem and assisting them in becoming their personal best. Suzanne posses a warm and caring personality that children and parents are comfortable with and gravitate towards.
